My favorite book is one my daughter made me for Mother’s Day! :)

My favorite book of all time is The Power of One, by Bryce Courtenay

I wish I had time to read books! I read my Bible more than any other book I own. In the past, I have enjoyed Jan Karon books a lot.

I’m tweeting this wonderful special! Pure_Photo

Thanks for all the great goods!

My favorite book is the Bible! :-)

The Shack

There are SO many books I love, so picking one is hard, and perhaps a bit random. But for tonight I am thinking of “Where the Heart Is” by Billie Letts.

Fearless by Max Lucado

“Oh, Baby, The Places You’ll Go!” I memorized it the first time I was expecting and it got me through all three labors. I still cry when I read it.

My list of “books to read” is long…I haven’t enjoyed a good book in over 5 years…funny, that’s the same time I started my photo biz…now-a-days, good book to read is anything photography related! Unless books on tape count…?

James Clavell ~ Shogun

my Fave book is The Shack. I read this book faster than anything else I ever have… and its one that I still think about almost EVERY day!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!

Easy question…
I bought the book Stellaluna by Janell Cannon for my two daughters about 15 or 16 years ago.
It is about a bat who gets a little mixed up and tries to live like a bird. The artwork is simple yet beautiful, the story is warm and heartfelt.
I spent a part of my own life a little mixed up so this book found a special place in my heart and always will. I hope it does for my daughters as well.

Wow! So many to choose from . . . there are some awesome books on my desk right now, including a number of Social Media titles like “Crush It!” and “Socialnomics” (must-reads to help us understand the power of social media and viral marketing.)

There’s also “Goodnight Moon”, which was a bedtime favorite of my children when they were little (and they’re not, anymore.)

However, my favorite book is still “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. I loved every bit of his work, because of the silliness and his ability to get a strong message across. “Green Eggs and Ham” is possibly the best “how to” manual ever written for sales and marketing; Sam is persistent – almost relentless – in his pursuit to offer his product in a variety of ways and settings.

It’s really something that we all can learn from!

Lynn

My boyfriend just finished writing his first novel and I couldn’t be more prouder of him. It is a phenomenal story and a wonderful book…I cannot wait for it to be published for so others can say it is their favorite book also.

I’m an English teacher by trade, so the young adult novel The Giver by Lois Lowry is my all time favorite!

In relation to photography, I like Joe McNally’s, The Minute It Clicks — it makes everything seem so do-able.

“Who Moved My Cheese” was good for opening the mind to accept change in the ever changing world of digital imaging.

Photo book- Understanding Exposure
Business book- Eat that Frog or Success Principles
Personal book-Born in Shame

I hope I win something!!

As an avid reader of both fiction and non-fiction, there are just so many great books out there. But my absolute favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck. The conflict between brothers and how they manage this conflict and their relationship is fascinating. It is a timeless story and a must read for anyone.

oooo I love the Mark of the Lion series by Francene Rivers. So good!

Other than the Bible, I would have to say my favorite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, such a great read, couldn’t put it down.

Gail

Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown!

The Bible & Jane Austen

my favorite book is anything by Agatha Christie!

The last book that I actually sat down to read was The Notebook, so I guess that’s my answer :)

Niko Williams

My favorite is “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein. Fabulous!

The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss. Good life lesson, as usual, from Seuss… :)

I don’t have a favorite book, but I am in the middle of reading Chelsea Handler’s books and they crack me up.

Sarah Kannenberg

My favorite book is The Secret. It really got me thinking about things a whole different way.

Darren Thompson

A Pirate Looks at 40 by Jimmy Buffet. I’ve always loved following his music and lifestyle…this books seems to tie it all together.

LOL…because I am reading it right now…Photography by Barbara London

Jeannine M

My favorite right now is also my son’s which is the Foot Book :)

I am a shallow reader..lol. My favorite is “Lover Awakened” from the BDB series by JR Ward.

God’s Smuggler

Favorite book…READ? Who has time!! :) I did read Anna Karina once…I did enjoy it…just wish I had time for more reading and relaxing!

I like to read brainless books, you know the onews you can read and fall asleep and then pick right back up after a good nap on the beach! The Sophie Kinsella books are great for that!

The non-fiction book I am reading right now, a little at a time is MOJO, how to keep it~!

Impossible question! ; ) I’m going to have to go back, though, to one of the books that hooked me on reading: Little House In The Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder (the whole series, really).

Dana Lewin

There are so many wonderful books out there and it depends on the mood I’m in, but I love Dr. Seuss all the time. Great for kids and adults alike!

My fav book right now is: Throw Out Fifty Things by Gail Blanke It’s a great practical, business and motivational book. Sure, it’s about getting rid of the clutter in your house, but then she goes deeper and talks about the clutter in your life in general and your mind. Definitely a good read!

Currently I’m reading The Purple Cow and The House That Cleans Itself. One of my all-time favorites is a small coffee table book called Tuesdays With Morrie. Great quick read!

Favorite book is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers!

Melissa Sewell

My favorite book is “The Last Lecture” by Randy Pausch.. It is extremely motivational and real. :)

I have a lot of favorite books but the one I am thinking of is “The Invitation” by Oriah.

The Griffin and Sabine Trilogy. Each story is told through a series of interestingly designed letters and postcards between the two main characters. In short, it’s a story of two people who have never met, but fell in love thru their correspondence, and when he came to the conclusion that she is a figment of his imagination, another postcard arrives from Sabine promising that if he will not go to her, she will go to him.

I read these books a page a day, one book at a time. It was a beautiful story and a wonderful experience. It has been 10 years since I’ve read them, but its the one that I’ll cherish for a long time. My beautiful sister gave me the first book (thanks sis!)

My favorite is the Bible too….you can read it over and over, and learn something new every time.

Honestly, Not a fan of reading…makes me fall asleep :) I will say this though, when I decided to be a photographer I read everything I could get my hands on and I still do. So I guess I just needed to find something that was of interest.

My favorite is the Bible…you can read it over and over, and learn something new each time!

I’m reading The Shack now and love it. I also love a scrapbook my daughter made for me!

My favorite book is Redeeming Love. It was so powerful!

Jessica Sweeney

My Favorite book is “The Notebook”, also a great movie! What can I can say I am big romantic and a sap for Love Stories!

Sara Mills

Twilight saga!

I don’t read many novels. I prefer magazines and articles online. The last book I read that I really enjoyed was The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. Lots of twists but good!

My favorite book is “created to be his help meet” I end up reading it about once a year. So encouraging.

Amber

My favorite book is Finding Life and/or In Question of Sunset by Dr. Graham (local writer and chiropractor). I also loved the Shack!

My favorite book is Peter Pan

My favorite book of all is “Love you Forever”. After having going through infertility and finally getting pregnant it was the one book I read to my son while he was still in my tummy and now it’s his favorite book! This book just explain a Mother’s love to it’s fullest even when you dont have the words to express to your child just how much you truly love them.

Not much time to read but the “Purple Cow” by Seth Godin so I can get better at being remarkable.

Not ashamed to admit my favorite books are the entire Harry Potter series! Creative, imaginative, well-written — escapism at its best!

Anything Dr Seuss… and yes I have kids! haha.. adult books? hmm too many favs.

The “Purple Cow” by Seth Godin, so I can be remarkable and a winner.

just tweeted about this awesome giveaway… http://twitter.com/jmterrero

I don’t know if I could narrow it down to one favorite in all honesty, but I have to say that “Created to be His Help Meet” Has been the most amazing in my life.

There are so many books that I could go ahead and say are my favorites. I just love to read. But, I have to say that other then the Bible my favorite book would be “Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren. It has helped me in my time struggle as well as in my times of happiness. It has helped me to see that everything we do has a purpose and to live each day as such!

My favorite book is Eclipse in the Twilight Saga! = )

Hmmm…favorite book is so hard. I would have to say my favorite book is my grandmothers betty crocker cookbook. She has all these handwritten notes in the margins and I just love all the 1950′s graphics.

great book:
Making a Living Without a Job: Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love …by Barbara Winter

Anything written by Nicholas Sparks! He’s just amazing!!!

I am a big reader! There is too many to list, so I will list A series of books I read called the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. It was awesome! I like alot of time-travel romance novels.

A Favorite Book? That’s a somewhat difficult task considering I am an avid and always have been. Photog related would have to be “The Business of Studio Photography”. For entertainment reading it would have to be “Skye O’Malley” In fact, my daughter is named after the main character.

Oh I have so many favorite books, but right now my absolute favorite is Jack Canfield’s “Key to Living the Law of Attraction”.

Wow, this is a toughie…I’d have to go with How People Grow by Cloud and Townsend.

I don’t have a specific favorite book, but I love all books by Robin Cook. They’re medical murder mystery books and they keep you on your toes! I was going to say “Who Moved My Cheese” but someone already said it! It’s a great book too!

I absolutely love The Beautiful and the Damned by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

I don’t have a lot of time to read with being a full time photographer/owner of my business and being a full time nursing student. During my summer vacation to the beach I always take a few Nicholas Sparks, who is my favorite author, books along with me. My favorite book out of his collection would be The Rescue. All of his books are amazing but I guess I had more of a connection with this book since my husband is a firefighter!

Sarah

My favorite book is to Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

Of all time, Gone with the Wind. Such a great book. I love a strong willed woman. :)

Wish I had more time to read – but have loved “The Choice” by Og Mandino (and anything by him); “In His Steps” by Charles Sheldon and just love the Harry Potter series!

I really enjoyed “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.

Janel

One of my favorite books is Grace Rules by Steve McVey. It totally released my spiritual awakening years ago. Check it out : )

There are too many great books… but right now I am reading the Harry Potter series with my kids, and I love it! Rowling is just an incredible author, she develops the characters so well, is so creative in describing their surroundings, and really brings you into their world! I really love the photography book “Light-Science and Magic” by Hunter & Fuqua, it really gives a good understanding to lighting, and helps you take it further!

Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.Happy Birthday.

I have lots of faves, but I’ll choose a classic “To Kill a Mockingbird”.

Allison Winfield

My favorite book is My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Piccoult

My fave book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn!!

My favorite book has to be The Giving Tree. I cry at the end every time I hear someone read it or I read it to my kids ?.

It seems like I always have a “favorite” book……it changes! :) But the book(s)that stick out in my head right now are the books from the Twilight Saga. Thanks for the giveaway and chance to win!! :P

Favorite book huh? that is SO hard because I have had different favorites at different times… so for today.. I will say… Geek Love by Katherine Dunn

oh my what is my favorite book…. I love Understanding Exposures next to the Bible

I have left a tweet @asinglephoto

My favorite book is still the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it’s been my favorite ever since I first read it many long years ago. All three books are wonderful and I love to re-read them.

Picking just one favorite book out of the ton that I’ve read. Way too hard. I love series, so I’ll say, The Sookie Stackhouse / TruBlood books. :)

My favorite book is the same book I’ve been reading since I was a kid, the Bible!

My favorite book is “Waves” by Steve Hawk. It has gorgeous photographs of the surf from all over. I love flipping through the pages over and over again.

Sharon Chandler

Great question! I love to read and I think the Kindle was invented just for me! Pride & Prejudice is my very favorite, but also love:
Classics: any Jane Austen, Waugh, Tolstoy, Ayn Rand
Current: Diana Gabaldon, AS Byatt, Robert Heinlein, Laurie King’s Sherlock Holmes series & any historical mystery

My favorite book is anything by John Grisham…especially A TIME TO KILL….just love his work….

April Doucette

Oh my favorite bookS are anything by Jodi Picoult…she’s the BEST!

Cory Huntington

Wow – agree with many of the others on not having time to read!! the one book I’ve picked up several times to try to read, however, is “the artist’s way”. even though I’ve yet to complete it – it’s always inspiring.

My favorite book is Heaven and Hell by Don Felder of the Eagles. Having being invovled in the music business for many years, I already knew the back story of the internal conflicts of the Eagles.(and most bands) what was inspiring, was how outside of the eagles some many of the musicians shared and enjpyed playing, working and helping each other. The community as a whole enjoyed creating and advancing the art form. It reminded me of this forum and how so many photographers are willing to share, to keep our industry strong.

Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin
ridiculously vivid imagery

The Bible and Crazy Love by Francis Chan

I think my favorite literary work is “Old Man and The Sea”. I think it depicts a never ending story of humanity. If you take and relate it to day as an alagory you can see the similarities of the battles we face each day in business and as photographers. My second favorite read is “The Negative”. I take the time to read each day as I find whether it is technical or literary in nature it helps bring creativity, focus, and growth.

Pamela Milogradov

My favorite book is “I Love You This Much” which is a book I read to my son everyday!!

Ganell

the greatest history book of all times! The BIBLE!

Jennifer Wakefield

I really don’t sit and read books to often. I guess the one that I read the most would be the Bible. My husband is a preacher. It’s an everyday thing. Well need too.

“The Moment it Clicks” is a photo book that I have read and enjoyed several times!

Great Expectations!

“Oh, The Places You’ll Go” – by Dr. Suess :) I got this book from my high school sweethearts mom, for graduation and it taught me that all journeys face perils, whether from indecision, from loneliness, or worst of all, from too much waiting ;) Life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all ‘There’s fun to be done’ and I may even ‘move mountains’!!” If you have not had a chance to read it..check it out here and become inspired at any age! http://denuccio.net/ohplaces.html

I think my favorite book is still Goodnight Moon that I read to my daughter. It is comforting for some reason.

Jill Phillips

Well happy 1st birthday, my June birthday buddy (mine’s on teh 24th). Hmmm… my most favorite book. It changes so often and depends on the genre. I love “Vince and Joy” by Lisa Jewell (fiction) and Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (non-fiction).

My favorite book as of now is Twilight…I figured I would be one of many but I scrolled through the comments and did not see it..wow. I guess the whole series would have to be included in that. My daughter got me into them and, well, it had me from hello…haha.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Anything by Malcolm Gladwell

My favorite book for financial purposes is Rich Dad Poor Dad. For pleasure, Bridges of Madison County.

Kathy T

One of my all-time favorite books is Gone With The Wind. It takes a long time to read, but it’s so worth it.

Favourite book, that’s a tough one but I am always drawn to Alice in Wonderland (and not just since the new movie by one of my fave directors, Tim Burton!) I have an old paperback and a pop-up version too! Kewl and inspiring.

My favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird.

One of my favorite books is by photographer Nick Kelsh called “Siblings”. I also still have a soft spot for books by Jill Krementz I read growing up . . . “A Very Young Dancer”, “A Very Young Rider”, etc.

Oh, this is so easy!!! Have you ever read “Redeeming Love” by Francine Rivers? It is a Christian novel, but parallels the book of Hosea in the Bible. It is an amazing story of unconditional love for a whore, by a Godly man. She continually rejects him and runs away, but because he is obedient to the spirit of God, he continually goes after her and brings her back to live with him. He basically rescues her from a brothel, but it takes several tries and many frustrating and hurtful episodes before she realizes his love is for real. I love this and have read it on more than one occasion. You will not be able to put it down!! Inspired me to pick up the Bible and read the book of Hosea.

The Bible—hands down!
[Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth] :)

Kristie

I always love what ever book i am reading and if i am reading it it is my favorite. A book that i have read over and over again is Russell the sheep. That is my son’s & my favorite.

Angie Holthus

My favorite is any book out of the Eve Duncan series by Iris Johanson. She is a great Author!

To Kill a Mocckingbird….brilliant!

Evangeline Dean

My favorite book is the one I read to my daughter since she was a newborn called “Goodnight Moon”. I know of all the books I’ve read, but it was not so much really about the book but the fact that I get to spend precious moments with her cuddled up to me and listening to me read – she’s almost 2 in August :)

Well, can I cheat and say that I have two?

The first on is:
The E Myth – can’t remember the author

the second one is:

Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions by Dan Ariely

Lori-you have GOT to read this book if you haven’t already.

My favorite is “Jonathan Livingston Seagull”. I first read it in seventh grade. I read it again everytime I feel the need to achieve something when others say “no”.
